Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds related to the Global Youth League T25 tournament. We understand that circumstances may change, and we aim to be fair while maintaining the integrity of our tournament operations.

2. Registration Fee

Registration for the Global Youth League T25 is free. There is no fee to submit your registration application.

3. Participation Fees

Upon selection to participate in the tournament, participation fees will be communicated to you. These fees cover:

• Tournament participation and team placement
• Accommodation during the tournament period
• Meals and refreshments
• Tournament kit and merchandise
• Medical support and insurance during the tournament
• Ground transportation in Sri Lanka

4. Refund Eligibility

Full Refund (100%)

A full refund of participation fees will be provided if:

• Cancellation is made more than 60 days before the tournament start date
• The tournament is cancelled by the organizers
• Visa application is rejected (with proof of rejection)

Partial Refund (50%)

A 50% refund will be provided if:

• Cancellation is made between 30-60 days before the tournament
• Medical emergency prevents participation (with valid medical certificate)

No Refund

No refund will be provided if:

• Cancellation is made less than 30 days before the tournament
• Player fails to attend without prior notice
• Player is disqualified for violating the Code of Conduct
• Player is unable to travel due to expired passport or documentation issues

5. Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, etc.):

• If the tournament is postponed, fees will be transferred to the new dates
• If the tournament is cancelled entirely, a full refund will be provided
• Partial completion of the tournament will be handled on a case-by-case basis

6. Refund Process

To request a refund:

1. Send a written request to info@globalyouthleague.com
2. Include your registration ID and reason for cancellation
3. Provide any supporting documentation (medical certificates, visa rejection letters, etc.)
4. Refund requests will be processed within 14 business days
5. Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method within 30 days

7. Transfer of Registration

Registration and participation slots are non-transferable to other players. Each registration is specific to the named player.

8. Travel Costs

Please note that travel costs (airfare, visa fees, etc.) are the responsibility of the participant and are not covered under this refund policy. We recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers cancellation.

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this refund policy. Any changes will be communicated to registered participants and posted on our website.
